Kevin has managed the Plant Growth Facility at the Danforth Center since January 2013. He oversees the operations of 50,000+ square feet of controlled-environment greenhouse space and over 80 growth chambers. Kevin leads a talented horticultural staff who support the research crop cultivation needs of 22 internal labs as well as several external research groups and companies.
Previously, Kevin was a Senior Lab Technician and Transformation/Tissue Culture Lead with the Mockler Lab, overseeing project design, throughput and personnel management. Kevin's educational background includes: B.S. in Microbiology, The University of Georgia M.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology w/ minor in Food Science & Technology, Oregon State University Advanced Horticulture Graduate Certificate, The University of Nebraska-Lincoln
